Several prospecting buddies have called to inquire about the snow pack and to determine if the roads are open to the claims for sale in Mineral County. Its been a long winter and everyone is ready to be out in the woods. Gold Fever is catching.
Many thanks to Dale R. for checking on the conditions. We are all eager to go prospecting and are getting our gear together and organized. Cedar Creek Road is accessible to the turn off to Freezeout and the historic Giltersleeze Mine. Heavy snow prevented the guys from going up any farther. Todd reports the road is sluffing off in several places, fallen trees and rocks blocked their way and the road was quite muddy; 4/wheel-drive is required. The No. 1 Wildcat Claim and the Eden's Gate Claim now accessible. Call me for information and to access the gate key.
Starr reports the road to the Gray Lady Down claim should be open by now. She went up early last week and was able to get within a 1/2 mile before rough road conditions and snow pack were encountered. Starr remarked that it is as beautiful as ever on the mountain with lots of spring greenery. Wildlife and birds were celebrating the arrival of spring. Starr noted that her faithful companion Tucker especially enjoyed the drive.
